World Conferences on Research Integrity

Research regulations and accepted research practices vary significantly from country to country and among professional organisations. There is no common definition worldwide for research integrity, research misconduct, conflict of interest, plagiarism or other key terms that describe acceptable and unacceptable research practices. Even where there is general agreement on key elements of research behaviour, the policies that implement this agreement can vary widely from country to country and organisation to organisation.

The World Conferences on Research Integrity were organized to promote exchange of information and to further discussion of ways to promote research integrity and harmonise efforts to foster responsible research practices.
